Supporting Brain Cancer Research is cool.
We raise awareness for and donate to Glioblastoma Brain Cancer Research at UCSF, through our marathon efforts and sweatshirt sales.
Our Story.
In 2016, we lost our mom to glioblastoma brain cancer. At just 11 and 16 years old, grief reshaped our world overnight. Losing a parent at such a young age changes you in ways that are difficult to explain. It brought anxiety, isolation, and a feeling of growing up far too quickly.
What changed everything wasn’t the tragedy itself — it was a run.
Running became our outlet for grief. What started as a way to process sadness turned into strength, discipline, and belief. Natasha began racing in honor of our mom, raising thousands of dollars for brain cancer research and becoming the youngest female to run the Napa Valley Marathon. Each mile became a reminder that pain can be transformed into purpose.
The night before the Los Angeles Marathon, Miles to Marathons was born — a simple idea sparked by sweatshirts, belief, and the desire to do more.
During COVID, we began running together every day. Through the early stops, the doubt, and the push to keep going, we learned something powerful: sometimes all it takes is one person believing in you to help you believe in yourself.
Today, we run marathons side by side while growing Miles to Marathons, raising awareness and funds for the same brain cancer research program our mom was once part of.
Running taught us how to turn loss into action.
How to turn grief into growth.
How to believe that you can do anything you put your mind to.
